- Barbara Allen: From Variationen über Thema von Robert Schumann for piano arr. D. Saunderson. Clara Schumann dedicated these variations to her husband and gave it to him on his birthday in 1853, the last such celebration before his final breakdown.
- Bushes and Briars: Arranged by Ralph Vaughan Williams, this song was sung to RVW by a seventy year old labourer at a Vicar's tea party in Essex in 1903. It had an extraordinary effect on RVW - when he heard it he “felt it was something he had known all his life” and from this seed British folksong held great fascination and influence for RVW for the rest of his life.
- Linden Lea : RVW's brilliant original composition disguised as a folksong uses a Dorset text that paints a dark cloud of industrial revolution hovering over a pastoral Arcadia.
